Why become a Libero Contributor?
Here at Libero, we are all about building community, and this extends beyond our readers and social media.
We see guest writing differently.
Writing for Libero is about more than just sending in an article and hoping to hear back if it’s published; it’s about being part of a community and using your unique voice and experiences to support and encourage others.
We like to build a relationship with our contributors so they feel directly connected to the Libero Community and the work we do.
Becoming a contributor means we stay in touch with you and let you know upcoming topics and themes and deadlines for submissions. It also means we let you be a part of the inner workings of our magazine as we develop ways to grow our readership, plan campaigns and new projects, and discover new ways to champion mental health and celebrate freedom!
How Writing For Us Works
If your application is accepted, you will be added to our Libero Magazine Contributors mailing list. This mailing list is how we notify you of upcoming themes, topic proposals, and other writing opportunities. On average, we send out two emails per month.
You will also have the option to join any online communities/forums we have for Libero’s writers (e.g. Slack) and be able to take part in Zoom calls with other Libero contributors and volunteers!
We ask that you submit at least one article every six months.
If at any time you no longer wish to write for us, you can let us know and we will no longer contact you about submitting.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for writers who resonate with Libero’s mission and are passionate about mental health and sharing their journey to support and encourage others.
You don’t need to be a professional writer; however, you should have a strong handle on spelling, punctuation, and grammar and be able to communicate clearly.
What is Peer Support?
Our content is written by people living with mental health issues for people living with similar issues (think support rather than awareness and “How I” rather than “How to”).
Have questions? No problem! Shoot us a message via our Contact Form.
