(b) You may view, print, download or store extracts from liberomagazine.com (as well as any child or sister sites) for your personal, non-commercial reference without alteration, addition or deletion. Your continued use of this website following such notification of any such revision(s) shall be deemed as acceptance of and agreement to abide by all such revisions.
8. Change or Removal of Site’s content
We reserve the right to change any and all content contained on the Site at any time without notice. Reference to any products, services, processes or other information, by trade name, trademark, manufacturer, supplier or otherwise does not constitute or imply endorsement, sponsorship or recommendation thereof by us.
4. Content Submitted By You (including Submissions):
(A) General Content
You agree that any Content (excluding direct, private inquiries) you upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via this site or any of our services is non-confidential and that we shall have a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use any such Content in connection with the Service and our business (and any successor), including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Content in any media formats and through any media channels (social media, in print, printable downloads, etc).
(B) Submissions by Authors/Contributors/Bloggers
Copyright for Content submitted for publishing (i.e. articles, “Free from” stories) resides with the Author and the Author will be attributed for their work in an Author byline, bio box, or equivalent. Note that though we do our best, full Author attribution isn’t always possible when sharing to social media.
(ii) First Exclusive Serial Rights:
You agree that any Submission(s) you upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via this site or any of our services is non-confidential and that we shall have a Worldwide First Exclusive Serial Rights to publish and distribute it in connection with the Service and our business (and any successor), including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Submission in any media formats and through any media channels (social media, in print, printable downloads, etc).
(iii) Subsequent Serial Rights:
After the Submission is published, we retain Worldwide Non-exclusive Perpetual Serial Rights(*see exception clause below) to publish and distribute it in connection with the Service and our business (and any successor), including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Submission in any media formats and through any media channels (social media, in print, printable downloads, etc). Submissions, therefore, cannot be removed from our Site or services (*see “anonymization” clause below).
Subsequent serial rights can be marketed only to publications in a non-competing niche (competing niches include: mental health and body image/positivity). It is requested that in any subsequent publishing, the author mentions the Content was originally published on “Libero Magazine”; additionally, a link to the original location on our site must be included (also see requirements related to the Submission’s Canonical URL below). This allows us to still receive credit for the Content appearing first on our site but offers you the freedom as the Author to publish your Content elsewhere where opportunities arise outside of Libero’s niche. Subsequent publishing on the Author’s personal blog is not considered a ‘competing niche’; however, credit to the original publishing location on Libero Magazine (including a link to its location on liberomagazine.com) is required.
Canonical URL: In all cases of subsequent publishing online (whether in full or in part, on another publication or on the Author’s personal blog), it is required that Libero Magazine retains the canonical URL. This means that the Canonical URL must be manually set to the original location on liberomagazine.com. Where this is not possible, permission for subsequent publishing is revoked. (Here is a resource on how to set Canonical URLs: https://yoast.com/rel-canonical) Exception: When sharing portions of the Submission on social media platforms where Canonical URLs are often not used/set, reference must simply be made to the Submission’s original location on liberomagazine.com, tagging our account on that platform (@libero_mag on Twitter and @liberomagazine on all other platforms).
*Exclusivity exception: For “Free From” stories and Interviews such as our “Free From” Interviews, you grant us full, perpetual worldwide exclusive rights to its content and consent that you will not share the interview contents with other publications or media sources (including your personal blog or publishing sites such as Medium).
(iv) Adapting Published Submissions
Once published, the content within Submissions cannot change. This maintains the integrity of our publication as comments, likes, and shares by others are based on the original content. However, updates can be made as dated notes added within the original Submission. Libero retains the right to reject adaptations deemed irrelevant, redundant, or inappropriate (i.e. if the update goes against any of our guidelines or terms or may be triggering or harmful to readers).
(v) Right to Edit for Quality
Libero and our editors reserve the right to edit Submissions for quality. This includes editing for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and readability. If changes are required that may alter or confuse the main message of the Submission, we will request the Author first edit the piece themselves and resubmit for review to avoid any misrepresentation.
