Accountability in Therapy

In this video, I’ll be discussing the following aspects of accountability in your relationship with your therapist and how you can use each of these components to improve the way you go about your recovery.

Accountability is one of the most important things within your therapeutic relationship. It promotes growth and vulnerability as you work toward a healthier life in recovery.

1. The therapeutic relationship: What exactly do healthy relationships look like? What is unhealthy? Also discussed: the importance of trust.

2. Your therapist’s role in accountability vs. your role in accountability: How can you make the most of it?

3. Honesty in accountability: Evaluating what you need.
