This month we answer one of the biggest questions asked in recovery from an eating disorder: “Should you exercise while in recovery?”
There really is no right or wrong answer – it depends on what your recovery looks like and how exercise has been a part of your past. I’ll address the discussion around goals set for your physical heath by your treatment team.
Questions to ask: Is exercise an unhealthy coping mechanism for you? How do you see exercise fitting into your recovery?
I also briefly discuss the unhealthy extremes of exercising and fun ways to get active!
