About this year’s Giving Tuesday campaign

This year, every dollar we raise for Giving Tuesday will go towards growing Libero’s community in 2020! Our campaign will run for the entire week of Giving Tuesday (Monday, December 2nd – Friday, December 6th).

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. This year we are doing something a little different. Our focus this year is working together as a community so we can reach even more people. Therefore, rather than set a fundraising goal, we are simply tracking how much we can raise, together, to support our goal of growing Libero’s community in 2020.

Every dollar we raise for Giving Tuesday will go towards growing Libero’s community in 2020!

The money we raise this year will help us attend events and have vendor booths that showcase our work. It will also allow us to take part in educational seminars that will help us learn new and exciting ways to grow. In addition, it will help us promote our community and content on social media (where the majority of our community connects).

Who are we?

Libero is a nonprofit magazine written by people for people. Our mission is to champion mental health and foster a peer-support community focused on sharing stories and celebrating freedom. Our vision is for a world free from stigma, where no one feels alone. (nonprofit incorporation number: S—0062089)

We accomplish our mission by providing a platform for sharing stories through our “Free From” Project, advocating mental well-being through our online magazine, offering professional resources and support through our Ask An Expert Column, and spreading our message of hope and freedom through our online community.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving (December 3, 2019) fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It falls on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

How does Giving Tuesday benefit us?

As a grassroots nonprofit, donations help us run. Therefore, we have two major campaigns each year: one for Giving Tuesday and one for Mental Health Month in May.

Help spread the word!

Word of mouth is the best way for us to extend our reach. This is particularly true when it comes to fundraising. Please help us spread the word by sharing our campaign with your friends, followers, and family!
