Summer is here and if you’re working through recovery from an eating disorder you might be freaking out a little if you are planning any kind of travelling, especially if you are new to the practice of intuitive eating. This video is all about how to eat intuitively when you are travelling.

Here are some important highlights to remember:

  1. Be flexible! This is really at the core of intuitive eating
  2. There is no “perfect” food or meal. You might not always get exactly what you want or what you are craving. Practice being OK with this.
  3. Intuitive Eating is NOT the “hunger/fullness” diet. It is OK to eat food when you are not hungry simply because it sounds good.
  4. Always have snacks packed to avoid a blood sugar crash or get to too low on the hunger scale.

Do you have your own tips for intuitive eating on the road?

Or, do you have a specific issue with eating intuitively when you are travelling that I didn’t talk about? Share them in the comments below or ask me any questions you might have. I would LOVE to hear from you.
